Shameless Avenger	Posted - 2007.01.01 00:35:00 - [1] Hi there! I have been working on a mini-faq about the Empire High-Sec aspect of POSes. It's not yet complete, but a friend with the PDF convertion tool was available now and he may be drunk tomorow so, I'm posting what I have ATM. It's is not intended to be a complete guide for everything, just the High-Sec stuff that people keep asking on the forums. For the rest, there are a few very good guides out there, stickified and all. No need to duplicate. I will be adding more questions/answers soon(TM) like: * Concord protection stuff * Tips to get the fuel * some more things... Comments, corrections and constructive criticism are welcome. Shameless Avenger	Posted - 2007.01.05 14:42:00 - [4] To Marena Bijo & Avaleric: 1st, make sure you are looking the standings with 'right click >> show compositions'. Or check your standings with an alt (not part of the corp). If that's not it... 2nd try doing a storyline mission. if that doesn't work...petition it. Last time I did it, the numbers in "show compositions" were raising, but the other one kept showing the same old standings with no change at all. And I also was doing at least one storyline per day.

The requirements for the anchoring skill is gonna be a column on that list. 2) Last time I got charters from an agent it was a lvl 4 and he gave me charters for the whole month. But that's changed now, the rewards are cash-only. I'm buying them off the market.

Weird as it seems, the guy who worked hard but still have a 4.5 standing need to be temporaly left out of the corp, while the lazy-arse with 0.0 standing could stay. I can't confirm why they implement it that way. But IMO it seems they took into account that some people have alts who do nothing but refining, hauling or some non-important stuff. These alts don't have standings but should not count cuz they are just alts. But that's only my theory.

To Ezlo Murkin: About your questions... 1) If your corp standings falls below the required number, concord will still respond to any attack on the POS. I just tested again a few minutes ago, with the corp standings below 2.0 and concord showed up in less than 5 seconds. A full concord armada detroyed the alt's velator in one voley. 2) I haven't tested (nor I will) but I read reports of people getting concordokken for attacking offline POS in high sec. That was a month ago, Dec 2006. However, I'm sure you can not leave a POS offlined forever. Must likely, somebody will find out and if it has been offlined for months, I guess it's petitionable and a GM could take the POS off the map. Just as they do with the secure cans anchored at the moons. But's that's only IMHO. And remember there's an old EVE motto, here in POS version: "Don't anchor anything you can't afford to lose". Even more, the moment you undock on your industrial with the Control Tower in your cargo bay, consider it lost. Anyone can gank you from that point and destroy it. Also remember that if an offline POS gets attacked by something like a ganka-raven, most likely a few Labs will be destroyed before concord shows up. Concord responds to attacks, but do not prevent them.

Can confirm that, warped to someone else's pos in a 0.6 and the guns didnt shoot me, but i was unwilling to lock it and see if that caused the pos to shoot me as was in a expensive ship. So does any1 know if locking a pos is a form of agroe? ATM, locking alone, nope. Shooting of course, yes. But with changes comming in and out, test in an alt with a rockie ship before risking anything expensive.

I guess we can call it the Hockston's MachoNet workaround. Good job! About the patch notes, yeah, I saw that too and I was wondering the same thing. By low standing CCP means people with zero standing? Guess we gonna have to wait until after the patch to find out.

Something else that do help is when one member is dragging down the rest of the corp standings. But I have to warn, I'm not sure if it's an exploit. You get the member to a missioning hub and he will start taking missions from different agents. Then different members of the corp meet with him on the starting points and go ahead to do the missions for him. The more people doing this, the faster standings will rise for that member, therefore for the whole corp.

As long as you don't unanchor the tower you should be allright. However, there has been some discussion on the forums about it, some people say it's an exploit. I won't comment on it to avoid opening the can of worms. But you could try asking a GM to get a definitive answer. There's usually one on the help channel /me thinks.
